Podcast 33: The Seriously Grey’s Throw Down

Welcome to the Seriously Grey’s Throw Down!

A couple of weeks ago, Grey’s Gabble’s Lisa & Liv challenged The Seriously Grey’s Podcast’s Amanda & Kay to a trivia contest. This is the recording of what and how it went down. Guest host, Sam, had the honor of moderating the competition which was fraught with alcohol, candy, and Cheetos.

The format was as follows: Three rounds of five “trauma” questions. The team that answered the trauma question correctly, got to go to the OR to score points. The team that lost the trauma question could call for the crash cart if the winning team missed points in the OR, but if the crash cart team also missed them, they would lose the points. After each round, there was a Whipple challenge. The last question was a final wager.

- Meet and greets. Hear a little about the wonderful ladies who run Greysgabble.com and Seriously Grey’s Podcast.

- Sam tries to explain the rules. No one understands. Liv has trouble buzzing in and containing her host-lust.

- The groups understand the rules enough to crash through a practice round.

- Round one starts. Liv ruins A Bitter Song for future generations.

- Amanda chases Malibu better than cars.

- Round two: Justin Chambers arguments ensue. Amanda turned out to be right, so TSG got ten points post-show.

- Round three: Tensions are high and Twitter followers come to the rescue for some tough trauma questions.

-Final Whipple: Liv and Kay show us how to save a life.

-Final wager question: Teammates debate how much to wager. What would you have done?

-Winners announced, but really everyone wins in this. TSG announces that the Gabble Gals will be joining Amanda and Kay for future hiatus podcasts.

Amanda and Kay discuss episode 9.16 This is Why We Fight in a very peaceful yet passionate way.

-There really is a China Wall between the survivors and those who stayed at the hospital. How does it feel for Bailey, Alex and Owen to be left behind?

-Mousey is back with a new haircut and we are delighted.

-Dr Edwards used to be hardcore, Jackson broke her! Is she in love with him?

-We get the Kepner scene that should have happened somewhere around 9.01.

-The survivors may lack the managing skills necessary to own a hospital, but they sure don’t lack the sexiness.

-We have strong opinions on Cahill’s “Exit”.

-The closing scenes are great. Alex is briefed, Merder care for the interns and we see Arizona grieve Mark.

-Jackson owns a hospital. Thanks, but no thanks Mama Avery!

Podcast 31 : Bathroom Break

Sam pulls a Hard Bargain, but we managed to get her back for this podcast dedicated to discuss and dissect 9.15.

- Love it or dislike it, there’s no denying that the opening sequence on it’s own set up the entire tone of this episode!

- This episode is a waltz between heroes and guilt. Whether it’s Derek, Owen,Bailey or Cahill our doctors are dealing with very interesting feelings.

- We have fun with all the callbacks inserted in this episode.

- We can’t help but notice that Derek is in this with 4 women. Sorry Bro…
